The multi-sport complex that will implement the training methodology of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar will be located in the coastal city of Durrës (30 km away from Tirana).

The new complex, whose main purpose is to develop and promote tennis and sports in Albania, will highlight the commitment of Rafa Nadal and his team to the values in sports and the education of children and adults around the world.

Rafa Nadal himself was happy with the news: “We are very happy to announce the construction and opening of a center in Albania. The project is exceptional and we liked the country’s vision for promoting sport and its values. I am sure that it will be successful.”

The Rafa Nadal Sports Center in Albania will consist of 12 tennis courts, 6 padel courts, a multi-sports court, a gym and wellness area, a swimming pool and a restaurant area. In addition, there will be a shop and a museum with some of Rafa Nadal’s trophies and other objects donated by great athletes.

During the meeting that took place at the newly opened ZEL Costa Brava hotel, PM Rama confirmed that the new complex will be located near Manchester City’s new football center and had some kind words for Rafa: “There are many great champions and professionals in the world of sports, but there are not many champions of life and human values like Rafa. From afar, I always had the impression that Rafa was a great man, but now I have even more admiration for his modesty and the way he approaches life. I think that the value of this center will lie not only in learning tennis or other sports, but also in helping children and young people to understand how important it is to be a professional and a good person”./p.s./
