In response to the backlash over the €4 billion Zvërnec project, Prime Minister Rama noted that Greece openly embraces foreign capital. He criticized what he views as domestic distractions over basic mathematics, arguing that Albania risks falling behind in the global competition for massive foreign investments.

Rama emphasized that after years of hard work to put Albania on the map, we can’t shut our doors to global investors now. We’ve fought to open these paths—why would we close them just as the world is arriving?

“While other countries develop by attracting international investors, we judge our progress by how well we resist them?!”, he continued.
