TIRANA, March 18/ATA/ After the success of the first two years, Muza Competition is back for the third time.

This is a competition for passionate and talented young people in the field of fashion design from the age of 18-35 who will have the opportunity to present their modern collection with elements of Albanian ethnography at the Muza Competition.

It will be not just a fashion show, but an opportunity of talents catapulted to fame in the field of fashion and design industry.

The first phase of the third edition will include the review of all applications received at the email address muzacompetition@gmail.com until April 25, 2024.

While during the second stage, the members of the jury will evaluate the presentations from every applicant who qualified from the first stage and will make a selection as only 10 of them will go to the final stage.

The grand finale of the Muza Competition will gather, as every year, all the Albanian-speaking regions in Tirana, where the 10 finalists will be able to present their collection in a grand spectacle which will also crown the grand prize winner of 20,000 Euros.

Unlike the previous editions, Muza Competition is presented to the Albanian public, but not only, through a dedicated magazine. Like never before, there have come together photographers: Ergys Zhabjaku, the well-known photographer Fadil Berisha, model and philanthropist Emina Cunmulaj, ethnographer Afërdita Onuzi, well-known designer Valdrin Sahiti, iconic fashion designer Enada At’ Nikolla, one of the most renowned artists for his contribution to contemporary art in Albania Helidon Haliti, the well-known moderator and producer Rudina Magjistari as well as the Executive Director of the Union of Albanian Municipalities in the Region Andriola Kambo.

Muza Competition is a project undertaken by the Union of Albanian Municipalities in the Region, where the municipality of Tirana is also a part, under the authorship of Andriola Kambo, which includes the activation of passionate and professional young people in the revival of ethnographic elements in the field of fashion design and creative economy./k.s/p.s./

TIRANA, June 15 /ATA/ Yesterday evening, the “Italy” square was transformed into a fashion catwalk for the final of “Muza” competition, where creators from all Albanian-speaking regions came together.

The 10 finalists presented their collection in the show that crowned Klara Kazani with the collection “Under the Veil” as the winner.

Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj, who was present at this event, expressed his satisfaction that such competitions are held in the Albanian capital, which Albanians do together.

“After what happened in Ukraine with Russia, we all remember that we should not take friends, especially neighbors, for granted. We are very proud of our neighbors because we Albanians are surrounded by our own people, from Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, the Presheva Valley, and so today I am very happy that, for this neighborhood, which is more than just a neighborhood, it is our blood, we have dedicated this edition. I am really proud of President Atifete Jahjaga, who has shown us that leading does not mean provoking; it means uniting, loving, connecting people, not dividing people. Therefore, I am really proud that today we have the best of the Albanian world”, said Veliaj.

The mayor also gave a message as he referred to one of the “Muza” competition models.

Among the guests, there were well-known personalities of Albanian showbiz and the world of the screen. “Muza” competition is a project undertaken by the Union of Albanian Municipalities in the region, which includes the activation of passionate and professional young people in the revival of ethnographic elements in the field of fashion design.

In this edition, more than 1,000 young people from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia applied to be part of the grand finale of the “Muza” competition./p.s./

TIRANA, December 2/ATA/ “Muza” is the newest agro-tourism that has opened its doors to tourists, amidst the wonderful nature of Petrela.

Prime Minister Edi Rama posted today on social networks photos from this agro-tourism, set up by a family that has lived in Switzerland for years.

According to him, “They decided to return to the country and settle on the land of their forefathers, where they developed the experience gained in the cuisine and business management in this venture, with supplies and fresh products from the village itself”.

“Created with care and taste, this inn further enriches the agro-tourism offer of the Petrela area, which is rich in olive groves and aromatic medicinal plants, and is becoming the most interesting alternative for rural Tirana”, said the prime minister.

The support for agro-tourism and the “100 Villages” program have encouraged investors to build accommodation structures for visitors, who, together with nature, can now also enjoy traditional food.

Through the rural development support program, it is aimed to highlight the traditional local products of each area, towards a consolidated local economy.

Financial support helps small producers increase production capacity, meet standards and ensure quality, to enable these products to be found everywhere. At the same time, rural areas are strengthened, through the orientation of investments in these areas. /m.m/p.s./
