TIRANA, June 7 /ATA/ In Kruja Ethnographic Museum, work is well underway for its restoration, in order to achieve the objective of throwing its doors open next October.

The museum is one of several cultural heritage sites being restored under the EU4Culture project, funded by the EU and implemented by UNOPS in close cooperation with the Ministry of Culture.

The National Institute of Cultural Heritage announces that “the building of the Ethnographic Museum of Kruja is in the process of restoration, of musealization and upgrading the display settings of artifacts.”

Specialists of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage inspected the progress of works, which aim to restore and conserve the entire structure and its decorative elements, improve the electrical and plumbing system, surveillance system and fire protection. “Very soon this museum will be able to speak to visitors not only through artifacts but also through the language of technology”, IKTK says in a post on social networks.
