The National Tourism Agency announces that “in this monument of the 1st category, meticulous works are being carried out for the final cleanup, the preservation of artifacts and the installation of screens to bring to light the paintings that decorate the interior of the Ethnographic Museum of Kruja.”

For some time, this museum has undergone the restoration process as part of the EU4Culture Program of the European Union, with the support of a conservation team from the Institute of Conservation at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, alongside Albanian specialists engaged in the process of restoration and revitalization of the monument.

This museum is an important attraction and among the most visited by tourists from all over the world who want to gain some insight into the Albanian culture.

The Ethnographic Museum is a museum of Albanian social life, customs and traditions. The museum is located in an authentic 19th-century house owned by the affluent Toptani dynasty within the Kruje castle complex.
