“From January 1-31, the National Historical Museum was visited by 4,527 visitors in total, 187% more visitors in total compared to the month of January 2023, with 1,578 visitors in total,” according to NHM.

The National Historical Museum was inaugurated on October 28, 1981. It is the most important museum institution in Albania. The National Historical Museum has seven pavilions: Antiquity, with 585 artefacts; Middle Ages, with 217 artefacts; Iconography, with 90 artefacts (of which 70 are icons and 20 are church liturgical objects); The National Renaissance, with 230 artefacts; Independence, with 142 artefacts, etc.

A working group, composed of the best specialists in museology, archeology, history, ethnography, visual art and restoration, worked on the conception and content of the National Historical Museum.
