The Director General of the State Police said that six warrants have been issued for the arrest of the suspects in connection with murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj, 51, on April 19 in his bar, in Lezhë.

Providing details on the event, Rrumbullaku added that a special investigative group was set up immediately after the crime and gathered a number of valuable evidence.

He said that five Brits and a Portuguese national were involved in the murder of the businessman Nikulaj.

They have all entered Albania as visitors and have left the country immediately after committing the crime.

Police have officially charged them with blood-feud killing. The Portuguese citizen is believed to have killed Nikulaj after entering the bar owned by him and shooting him seven times with a gun. He was wearing a motorcycle helmet and a Covid face mask when he committed the crime and left the scene with a motorcycle.

Police have managed to document the actions of the criminal group members before and after the murder, following the examination of surveillance camera footage, as well as the vehicles used by the perpetrators.
