In his remarks during the meeting at the SP headquarters, PM Rama said that today’s gathering was “an encouraging welcome and invitation to everyone that wish to run for lawmakers on behalf of SP through the online platform.”

“The platform is not a tool we are using for the very first time, but it is for the first time that this process is beginning around one year ahead of the upcoming general elections or nine months before SP candidates can register to run in elections,” PM Rama said.

The government head noted that the platform has been designed to pick the best Socialist candidates in the next year’s general elections in Albania.

“The applicants should demonstrate that they are an added value and showing that they are valuable candidates for the SP representative team,” he said.

The Premier noted that the assigned team is working on the entire process of the platform, drafting also a roadmap and suggestions for the applicants to follow. Socialist Party teams will assess the applications and select the best candidates for the party.
