Prime Minister Edi Rama published the Government’s decree designating Sunday as a day of national mourning.

“The tragedy of Greece is also our tragedy, the grief for the lives lost in the deadly train crash is also ours and this is one of those moments in life, when a great loss to the neighbor shows more than a hundred joys how our lives are inextricably linked, and that we must do our best to make them as good as possible, cooperating more and more with each other,” said Prime Minister Rama.

“On Sunday, Albania will commemorate the victims of the deadly train crash with a day of mourning, symbolically joining friendly Greece with the national flag flying at half-mast,” Prime Minister Rama concluded.

The decision of the Council of Ministers says that the national flag in state and public institutions will be flown at half-mast.
