Gonxhja said that MoECI is currently working on two strategies of economic diplomacy, which can bring benefits in terms of foreign direct investment, as well as the expansion the most successful domestic enterprises into international markets.

The first is about the mountains package, which will be launched soon. This package aims to provide an alternative approach to attracting direct diaspora investment and orienting them to the development of mountainous areas in the North of the country.”

“The second initiative, which is still in progress, is about supporting various Albanian enterprises that have proved successful locally in different industries, to expand their activity in neighboring countries,” Gonxhja stressed.

“We strongly believe that Diaspora Albanians should be subject to a fast track procedures and incentives to invest in Albania. Our goal is for them to see our country not only as their homeland, but also as a golden opportunity for investment and development. Together we can build a better future for everyone,” said Minister Gonxhja.
