“Good morning and with this photo of the Saint Mother Teresa on the day of her birth, I wish you a peaceful day like her,” – Rama emphasizes.

The Albanian Nobel laureate Gonxhe Bojaxhiu was born on August 26, 1910 in Skopje. She devoted her entire life to the cause of charity, helping poor families and the sick.

In 1979 she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize at the Oslo Tribune. As referred to in a special article by “Vatican Radio” on this great award presented to her by the international jury of the Swedish Academy of Sciences, the Albanian Gonxhe Bojaxhiu accepted the award only, as such recognition would benefit the poor under her wings.

Mother Teresa passed away on September 5, 1997. In recognition of her vital values, Mother Teresa was proclaimed a saint of the Catholic Church by Pope Francis in a ceremony at the Vatican.
