The Minister of Interior Taulant Balla held a meeting with Chair of Special Committee at the U.S. Congress, John Moolenaar.

Balla and Moolenaar discussed cyber security and protection of internet and social media users from the online violence.

“We attach heightened attention to the measures against misuse of the social media networks for illicit actions and conduct. Verifying the users’ age and identity is a must. More efficient measures are needed to monitor the online time duration, parental monitoring in order to avoid children and teenagers addiction,” the Minister of the Interior Talulant Balla said after the meeting with the American official.

The U.S. Congress and the European Parliament have called for more detailed monitoring during the election to avoid disinformation and interference in the election processes.

Congressman Moolenaar is a well-known official and important friend of the Albanian diaspora in Michigan.
