TIRANA, June  20 /ATA/ The Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday that the police operation in the Mujahideen camp in Manza is in compliance with the order of SPAK and the decision of SCCOC and comes in response to actions that clearly run counter to the agreement and commitments made by the MEK group since 2014, when it settled in Albania only on humanitarian grounds.

The State Police emphasized that the State Police intervention was in accordance with the law and pursuant to the procedures that require such operations.

“Today’s operation of the State Police in the location of the MEK in Manez of Durrës is pursuant to the order of the SPAK and the decision of the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime,” according to the Ministry of Interior.

“Unfortunately, inside the camp the work of the State Police met with resistance, which runs counter to the procedural framework of law enforcement. According to State Police, there was no loss of life or injuries during the operation. For every claim for loss of life, all procedural verifications are being made in the hospital and their place of residence,” according to the Ministry of Interior.

Since Tuesday morning, the State Police are conducting a police operation in the Mujahideen camp in Manza pursuant to a decision delivered by the Court Against Organized Crime and Corruption, following an investigation by the SPAK.
