A total of 288 operational personnel and 21 firefighting vehicles have been deployed, while the Armed Forces have provided aerial support with two helicopters involved in three operations.

The active fires are in Mount Dajti near Tirana, Vajkal in Bulqizë and Sllatinë in Dibër, northeastern Albania.

In Mount Dajti, 20 firefighters and Protected Areas Administration personnel are working to contain a blaze above the Qafë Mollë tunnels, supported by an Armed Forces helicopter.

In Vajkal, 60 personnel, including local, volunteer and Armed Forces personnel, are tackling a fire in scrubland and juniper-covered rocky terrain. A helicopter was deployed as strong winds increased the risk of the flames spreading. Authorities said there was no threat to populated areas.

In Sllatinë, 46 personnel are fighting a fire in beech forest, with helicopter support due to the risk of the blaze spreading to nearby pine forests.
