The Ministry of Defense reported in a press release that in Karaburun peninsula despite the relentless work of AF and fire brigades, there are blazes burning but pose no risk to houses.

There are wildfires raging in the village of Cukal, Shkodra but they pose no risk to houses.

In Gjirokastra, the fire continues to rage in Lunxhëri valley, but poses no risk to the houses. AF troops are working alongside the crews of local government to put out the fires by land.

The work is ongoing to put out the blazes on the conifer hill in the village of Arshi Lengo, where in addition to operational forces the intervention by air continues through helicopter.

The wildfires in Fushë-Arrëz risk spreading in the inhabited areas, therefore the crews working on the spot are being assisted by helicopter.

The Ministry of Defense stresses that 500 troops of the AF have engaged in the fire-fighting operations which are conducted by land and air.
