This is what Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, said at the first meeting this year of the Investment Council, which outlined the main pillars of MoFE intervention for improving the business and investment climate in our country.

“We regard with priority the communication with business. I am highly committed to holding time after time round tables with business, in order to jointly implement those reforms that the government has undertaken and will launch as part of its vision for the future, ” said Ibrahimaj.

The Minister informed that overall there are 194 recommendations, which fall under 27 identified topics that include 10 ministries, the Bank of Albania and some subordinate institutions.

Some of the recommendations are: tax legislation, fiscalization, banking regulatory framework, electronic commerce, bankruptcy law, personal income tax, profit tax, fight against informality, protection of commercial brands, foreign direct investment, etc. For some of the recommendations, work is well underway to reflect them after they have been identified in the daily work of the MoFE, such as fiscalization, personal income tax, profit tax or the fight against informality.
