TIRANA, Nov 18 /ATA/ Albania reached a historic milestone yesterday in its European Union accession negotiations, with the opening of Cluster V ‘Resources, Agriculture and Cohesion’ at the 7th Albania–EU Intergovernmental Conference, held in Brussels.

Prime Minister Edi Rama on Tuesday shared a photo album of his stopover in Brussels, where he inaugurated the new premises of Albania’s Mission to the European Union and attended the historic conference with the EU for the opening of all chapters of the accession negotiations.

This is the final cluster to be opened for our country and represents a strategic turning point, as it formally concludes the phase of opening all 33 negotiation chapters within just one year, establishing Albania as one of the fastest and most coherent countries in the region in this process.

Prime Minister Rama led the Albanian delegation, alongside Minister of State and Chief Negotiator Majlinda Dhuka, Minister of State for Public Administration and Anti-Corruption Adea Pirdeni, and other representatives of the responsible institutions, with an agenda aimed at demonstrating Albania’s readiness, maturity, and ambition in this new phase of the negotiations.
This final cluster marks a strategic milestone for our country, formally completing the opening of all 33 negotiation chapters within a single year, and positioning Albania as one of the fastest and most coherent countries in the region in this process.

Following the conclusion of the proceedings, Prime Minister Rama, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, and Denmark’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Marie Bjerre (representing the rotating EU Council Presidency) held a joint press conference.

In Brussels, a ceremony was also held to inaugurate the new premises of Albania’s Mission to the European Union, on the eve of the opening of the final cluster of the accession negotiations.

At the ceremony in Brussels, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos expressed that she feels like Albania’s fourth ambassador, while Prime Minister Edi Rama praised the positive energy he always experiences during his visits to the city.

“In the past, when we arrived, the rainy weather would make it cold both outside and inside. Now, the situation is entirely different. Regardless of the weather outside, inside it is warm, filled with positive energy, welcoming faces, and pleasant smiles,” stated Prime Minister Rama.
