The Secretary of State Saathof confirmed the support of Federal Germany for all the countries of the Western Balkans that are part of the “Berlin Process” initiative and underlined the commitment of Albania to addressing the problems of irregular migration.
Minister Balla thanked the German side for the support given to date, especially the support to law enforcement agencies in the fight against organized crime.

Balla also underlined the excellent cooperation between the two police forces, the State Police and the Federal Police of Germany, which have conducted several joint operations, including the “Anti-Hawk” operation.

The parties underlined the need to strengthen and ratchet up the fight against irregular migration, adding that tomorrow’s ministerial will be another step forward in achieving this goal.
The German delegation will participate tomorrow in the Tirana Ministerial on security issues and migratory flows through the Western Balkans.
