The Bank of Albania announces that this indicator marked a drop of 1.7%, compared to 2019.

According to the BoA, the impact of Covid-19 pandemic took its toll on lending by non-bank institutions. This is the first time since 2015 that the loan portfolio provided by non-bank financial institutions closes the year with a decline.

From the beginning of 2017 until the end of 2020, the credit portfolio for microbusiness expanded by about 82%.
