Asked in an interview whether he had a comment to make on Berisha’s appeal for his resignation the day before, Metani said that, “I do not concern myself with political comments, yet I will answer your question. For the case in question, but also to anyone else, who has complaints or accusations against the High Inspectorate of Justice or Artur Metani, I tell them to go to the prosecutor’s office.”

“Secondly, anyone who seeks to intimidate or influence, or put pressure on the work of the High Inspector of Justice, I tell them to forget it! Forget it!”, stressed Metani.

Berisha said yesterday that, “I ask for the immediate resignation of the High Inspector of Justice, Artur Metani, who is legally one of the main people responsible for the incinerators affair in Albania.”
