Vata/ President of the Republic Ilir Meta stated on Wednesday that “he will press charges to the SPAK and the General Prosecutor’s Office against Parliament of Albania for manipulating the evidence in the Constitutional Court over the case for President’s dismissal.

In a press conference, Meta stated that today I have signed the criminal charges as President of the Republic against the structures, officials responsible in the Albanian Parliament for criminal offenses committed in complicity, that of “Forgery of documents” provided by Article 186 of the Criminal Code . As soon as this indictment is filed to the Special Prosecution and the Prosecution of Tirana and for the information to the General Prosecution, it will be published in full on the official website of President of the Republic.

Meta said that in conclusion “this is an important indictment because the crime of counterfeiting is very flagrant. It is committed for the first time in a public session of the Constitutional Court by the Albanian Parliament in a process that is held for the first time in 30 years against the head of state, the President of the Republic and this crime, forgery, shows very clearly not only how the one-party parliament worked before April 25, but also how this parliament is functioning now. ”
