TIRANA, May 9/ATA/ The Mesi Bridge, located 8 km away from the Northern Albanian city of Shkodra on the Kiri River, is a monument of culture of great value and a symbol of ancient civilization.

Prime Minister Edi Rama posted today photos from Mesi Bridge in the section “Beautiful Albania”.

“The Mesi Bridge in Shkodra, a centuries-old beauty, has turned into one of the most impressive attractions for local and foreign tourists,” said Rama.

Built in 1768 by Mehmet pasha Bushati, the bridge over the Kir River served to connect Drishti with Shkodra.

Being a monument of great architectural and technical value, the Mesi Bridge is an object that attracts many visitors.

The bridge is 108 meters long, 3.40 meters wide and it has 13 asymmetrical arches; it was built with stones while the route was made of stone slabs. The picturesque terrain with rocks and clear water is added to the value of the bridge./p.s./
