Prime Minister Meloni emphasized: “With respect to security, the focus on these significant agreements will enhance efforts to combat drug trafficking and cybercrime. These measures represent critical components of a shared vision — jointly addressing the challenges of migration, as extensively discussed with Prime Minister Rama in the context of our Protocol with Albania. I wish to once again extend my gratitude to the Prime Minister, his government, and the Albanian people, as the signing of this protocol demonstrates that Albania now operates in alignment with European Union standards, and that effective cooperation is grounded in solidarity with partner countries.”

Prime Minister Meloni stated: “I have assessed, and continue to assess, that the Protocol we have signed reflects a profound European spirit, as it underscores that migration is a Europe-wide phenomenon that can be effectively addressed only through the collaboration of EU member states, as well as between the EU and non-EU countries.”
Meloni continued, “A protocol that emphasizes an innovative approach, which has attracted the interest of many other countries. As is well known, not all have fully grasped the significance and value of this model.”

Prime Minister Meloni stated: “Although many have attempted to impede or obstruct it, we remain resolutely committed to advancing this initiative, as we believe the mechanism holds transformative potential — representing a new paradigm for migration flows. This serves as a clear example of the maturity of the dialogue between our countries, and of how Italy and Albania continue to maintain a shared vision even within international forums.”
