TIRANA, Sept 26 /ATA/ The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs addressed on Friday several media reports that circulated regarding a statement made by Ecuador’s Foreign Minister at the UN General Assembly.
The Press Office of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs released a statement noting that it “has been following the misinformation spread by various online media today regarding the completely baseless assertion that Albania or Albanians were mentioned in the national speech of Ecuador’s Foreign Minister at the UN General Assembly.”

The statement emphasizes that the claim is entirely baseless, stressing that neither Albania nor Albanians are referenced in the speech, which is publicly accessible on the UN’s official website.
The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs stated that “the minister’s speech is accessible to anyone who does not intend to manipulate these important international fora by inventing false information to damage the dignity, reputation, and image that Albania has successfully established internationally.”
