In a press conference, Berisha mentioned that while they are not direct beneficiaries of the program since they live abroad, there are several aspects that indirectly impact them, such as the introduction of the minimum income of 200 euros for their family members.
Berisha mentioned that, since they are the ones providing for their family members’ minimum income, they have taken interest in several aspects of the DP program, such as the reduction of energy and fuel prices, along with other business benefits.

In this regard, Berisha assured that “in the first quarter under the DP government, they will be completely relieved from this burden.”

He stated, “All immigrants, whose family members in Albania are unemployed, receiving economic assistance, or pensions below 200 euros, earning low wages under 500 euros, or paying 85 lek per kilowatt for electricity, will be completely relieved from the responsibility of sending remittances for basic needs in Albania through the emergency package.”

He further stated, “Our agriculture program has garnered a lot of support. In addition to providing subsidies for every seedling and livestock, we will also offer soft loans and grants to emigrants wishing to return to Albania and implement the farming practices they have used in their host countries.”
Berisha described the meetings with Albanians in Italy and Greece as a “journey towards victory.”

Speaking about the maritime agreement with Greece, Berisha emphasized that “it was the best agreement Albania could ever get, as it was signed when Greece had declared territorial waters of 6 miles.”
