TIRANA, Oct 16 /ATA/ At the invitation of Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, is participating in the 11th Edition of the Mediterranean Dialogue (MED). The event is jointly hosted by the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
In this context, Minister Elisa Spiropali held a cordial meeting with her Italian counterpart, Antonio Tajani, which she described as a discussion beyond formal protocol — an open and constructive exchange focused on the friendship, strategic partnership, and shared vision for the future between Albania and Italy.
“We are advancing joint initiatives between Albania and Italy, with a focus on key sectors such as energy, interconnectivity, digital infrastructure, industry, investment, and other high-value sectors,” Spiropali affirmed.
Minister Spiropali also highlighted Albania’s growing role in a region that calls for increased cooperation and reduced fragmentation, reaffirming the joint commitment to building a more united, fair, and secure Europe — one in which Albania must be fully integrated without further delay.
“A friendship grounded in strong roots and a shared vision for the future,” Spiropali wrote.

As part of the annual MED Mediterranean Dialogue conference, Minister Elisa Spiropali will be a keynote speaker in two high-level panels, alongside senior representatives from other governments.

The MED Mediterranean Dialogue is a high-level annual forum that focuses on the geopolitical challenges and opportunities within the broader Mediterranean region. Its objective is to advance a “positive agenda” for the Mediterranean by fostering multilateral dialogue, re-evaluating conventional approaches to regional security, economic development, migration, and cultural exchange, and addressing fragmentation through inclusive engagement among governments, civil society, academia, the private sector, and the media.
