TIRANA, Aug 20 /ATA/ 36,592 local and foreign vacationers have accessed quality services, from qualified medical staff in 30 summer health centers opened along the coastline and in mountain tourism areas during this season.

This was confirmed on Sunday by Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, who shared the opinions of the doctors serving near these centers, but also of vacationers and foreign tourists who have accessed medical service.

Manastirliu emphasized that 96% of vacationers who received services at these centers were not referred to hospitals after receiving appropriate and qualified service at the health center near the resort.

According to doctors, this year there is an increased number of cases handled compared to other years.

“We have also had cases that were relatively difficult to manage, they were given first aid here and were referred to the hospital for specialized care,” said a doctor.
For their part, patients are satisfied with the service.

“A very high-quality service,” two foreign tourists who turned to the summer health centers after health problems said.
There are 30 summer health centers throughout the country that offer services, visits, consultations, treatments, working with reinforced healthcare personnel, with staff who are continuously trained to manage emergency cases, as well as supplied with drugs and medical materials.
The National Emergency is also fully prepared to respond to all calls for medical assistance at the unique number 127.
