Speaking at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama on the site of the new emigrants reception centre in the village of Shengjin, Lezhe, Meloni said that the misinformation is aimed not only the government of Albania and the Albanian people, but also against Italy itself.

“I already stated in my remarks. I think that the true reason is not to just attack the Albanian government and Albanian people. Such misinformation is also aimed at discrediting the Italian government.  I think that in order for them to discredit the Italian government, they attack an international partner. Not only Italian government is being hurt, but Italy itself too,” she stated.

“We will pay utmost attention to all proposals and agreements we will seek to reach in the future, because we can’t risk the neighborly relations with other countries too,” Italian PM Georgia Meloni said.
