Hoxha stated that concrete actions need to be taken to improve public safety and enhance the standards of tourism services in the country.

The Minister emphasized the need to strengthen security measures along the coastline.

“One of the recurring issues has been security along the coastline. Unfortunately, even during this season, there was an incident due to the use of watercraft. This situation must come to an end. Furthermore, municipalities must take action regarding beach surveillance posts on the beaches and ensure the recruitment of qualified personnel. This issue must be definitively and effectively resolved for the next season,” said Hoxha.

The Minister expressed concern about operators who fall short of meeting the standards, emphasizing that “this year, there have been abusive operators or beach stations that did not meet the required standards.”

The Minister announced that the construction of roads up to standards will be a priority with view to ensuring better access to tourist destinations.

“Thirdly, a problem that needs to be addressed is the creation of favorable conditions for access to tourist sites, which includes the construction or refurbishment of roads, installation of road signage, as well as the development of the necessary infrastructure to ensure these sites are accessible and usable for businesses,” said Hoxha.

Considering the “forecast autumn rainfall,” Hoxha urged the prefects to “stay on top of their duties and take measures to address emergency situations,” emphasizing the need for “restructuring of the Civil Protection Commission at the regional level.”

Hoxha stated that the State Police have done a good job in the “fight against the cultivation of narcotic plants.”
