The mayor of Korça, Sotiraq Filo, emphasized that “we are starting the work in the newest construction site in the village of Mborje, one of the few villages, which for years has grappled with the shortage of potable water.”

“Implementation of this new investment is another promise delivered in the village of Mborje,” said Filo, adding that the project entails the laying of new pipelines, guaranteeing 24-hour supply of drinking water also in the village of Mborje.

Lying at the foot of the Morava mountain, other than its fresh air and abundant water springs, the village of Mborje is also a living proof of its historical and religious traces.

This village, home to numerous objects of worship, counts 12 churches, with the oldest dating back as far as 1389. Another important object of worship is the mosque built by Sultan Mehmeti II in 1446.

The village famed for historic and tourist values attracts plenty of visitors.

The public works make it more enticing and accessible all year round.
