Municipal teams have been dispatched to every school and educational facility in Tirana to carry out maintenance work, as well as disinfection and other hygiene practices ahead of the new school year.

Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj joined the working teams in the newly-built “Vaçe Zela” and “Kristo Frashëri” schools. Mayor Veliaj noted that careful planning, cleaning and disinfection to ensure best hygienic conditions are underway in every school and educational facility in the capital.

“Just like every family takes care to create best hygienic conditions for their kids, the municipality is also working to make sure that same hygienic and sanitary conditions can be found in every school,” Mayor Veliaj said.

Veliaj said that disinfection and hygiene practices have been the norm in schools in Tirana, but more attention and care has been attached by Municipality in the wake of the Covid- 19 pandemic.

He added that intense work is underway to make sure that everything is ready on Monday.
