During a communication livestreamed in the “Sy m’sy” segment, Rama emphasized that it is very important for every Albanian, regardless of political beliefs and party preferences, to keep in mind that on May 11, Albania is more than ever beyond the left and right wing.

“On May 11, Albania stands beyond partisan divides, as on that day, every Albanian with a vote, both in Albania and abroad, will not only cast their ballot but will do so to ensure no moment is lost in the negotiation process,” said Rama.

He mentioned that the May 11 vote should aim to eliminate any doubts regarding uncertainty in Albania and show that there is a strong and solid majority, fully capable, to carry on with the negotiations.

Rama remarked, “This is the first time in the history of this process that words align with a tangible and positive commitment to Albania’s eventual accession to the EU. It is the first time that common phrases such as ‘we want you in the EU, your future lies in the EU’ are in sync with the EU’s political will, which corresponds with our long-standing aspiration to join the EU.”

The Prime Minister emphasized that a window of opportunity has opened, and for the first time, the vote carries significant geopolitical weight in relation to Albania’s position.

He added, “Especially in a world shaken by security concerns, in an atmosphere with everyone talking about various threats and risks, we need unity, cohesion beyond parties, leadership, and stability. Everything else is mere nonsense compared to this existential moment for Europe and Albania. This window of opportunity to finally unite with the European family may close. This is the moment, and we also have the most ambitious timeline in the history of integration,” Rama concluded.
