The senior Socialist official reacted to a statement by the opposition lawmaker Tritan Shehu at today’s parliament sitting, who said that Albania should support Kosovo.

SP lawmaker Balla stated that everything has been made to undo Dick Marty’s report, adding that “Parliament has addressed this issue also thanks to the members of Albania’s delegation to the Council of Europe, and I am not distinguishing among the ruling majority and the opposition, because we are all united in initiating a new resolution at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to challenge the human organ trafficking allegations.”

Last year, Albanian lawmakers approved a resolution tabled by the Socialist Party to condemn the 2011 Council of Europe report that accused former high-ranking Kosovo Liberation Army members of war crimes, asking the international human rights body to review it.
