Surrounded by flowers and under the sound of music, the couples also planted trees for their love.

“Today, it is a very beautiful day to be in Tirana. This city was founded on love for people, love for work, love for this community to move forward. For a city founded on love, there can only be good days. Today, I am really happy that we had several marriage registrations and some fellow citizens said yes to each other to start their lives in Tirana, to start a new family here that makes Tirana bigger, but I say that it makes Tirana even more beautiful”, said Veliaj.

As Mayor Veliaj congratulated the couples, he said that Tirana needs love more than division.

“Many congratulations on the marriage, many congratulations on the coming baby, and to all the couples and lovers of Tirana. I believe the time has come for each of us to reflect. In this city, we need love more than hate and division. We need work more than violence. We need more to say congratulations to each other than to curse anyone who works and succeeds. As long as love is what unites us as a family, love is also what unites us as a city, as an extraordinary community of Tirana”, concluded Veliaj. /k.s/r.e/p.s./
