The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs reported today that the relevant authorities of the Kingdom of Morocco have decided to lift the visa requirement for Albanian citizens traveling to Morocco for short-term stays.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco, accredited to the Republic of Albania, headquartered in Rome, has notified the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania that the relevant Moroccan authorities have decided to lift the visa requirement for citizens of the Republic of Albania traveling to the Kingdom of Morocco for short-term stays.

This decision enters into force on August 15, 2026 and is a follow-up of the commitment expressed in the Joint Declaration signed on March 1, 2025, between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad of the Kingdom of Morocco and his Albanian counterpart, the then Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania Igli Hasani. /m.m/r.e/a.f/p.s./
