The discussions focused on the “Single Market Highway” platform, an initiative aimed at bringing Western Balkan countries closer to the regulations and standards of the European Single Market, as well as preparations for a potential ACAA (Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products) between Albania and the EU.
Minister Ibrahimaj highlighted that Chapter 20 of the accession negotiations, focusing on enterprises and industrial policies, is a key priority for Albania to conclude early in the integration process.
She stated, “Our partnership with the European Commission is crucial for enhancing the country’s industrial competitiveness and preparing the Albanian economy for full integration into the European Single Market.”
The meeting marks another concrete step towards harmonizing Albanian industrial policies with European standards, creating more opportunities for local businesses and boosting investments in strategic sectors of the economy. e.xh/j.p/sm/
