This project, Balluku stated, aims to integrate Albania into a network of marinas that starts from Croatia and Montenegro and extends to Greece, bringing a new approach to the maritime industry that connects tourism with the intelligent and sustainable use of the coast.

Italian architect Luca Dini emphasized that this project starts from a “blank slate”, proposing the creation of a modern and distributed marina that does not function simply as a parking lot for ships, but as a starting point for cultural and tourist experiences that highlight the beauties of Albania.

He added that this approach requires a manual with clear construction rules and a shared vision with investors, who must embrace the country’s strategy and create a new experience for yacht owners, who at present require more than just a place to exhibit their wealth.

Minister Balluku highlighted the need to educate a new generation of professionals specialized in the yacht industry.

“We need to have all the personnel who will operate these marinas, so another challenge will be to create a group of people, young people, who will work in these marinas in the future,” said Balluku.

The Italian architect also emphasized that the creation of international schools and crew training will be key to the development of this sector, which is in the growth phase and aims to place Albania on the map of elite Mediterranean destinations. /p.s./
