Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Sunday a gallery of pictures from the awards ceremony of the Festival that took place on the stage of the newly-renovated National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in the Albanian capital.

“Good morning and with the vibe of eighteenth edition of the International Festival of Operatic Singers at the reborn National Theatre of Opera and Ballet, I wish you all a peaceful Sunday,” PM Rama said.

The Albanian-German soprano Carolina Lopez Moreno was awarded the Festival’s first prize.

The Festival’s jury, composed of the presidents or general managers of several European theatres headed by the President of “Opera Europa”, Anna Maria Meo, awarded winning prizes to four out of 15 participating performers.

The second prize went to baritone Samueol Park from South Korea, and the third prize went to soprano Yulia Merkudinova from Ukraine, who also won the song award.

Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj handed over the first prize to the winning soprano.
