TIRANA, Aug  8 /ATA/ The number of visitors to the country’s museums this year has marked a significant increase, reaching around 90 thousand visitors.

Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, shared the statistics of the first six months which, according to her, are upbeat as far as the number of visitors to the museum is concerned.”

“Compared to a year ago, many more visitors have soaked up the rich collections of our museums,” said Minister Margariti.

According to the statistics published by the minister, in the first 6 months of this year, the country’s museums were visited by 89,218 visitors. Meanwhile, the same period a year ago saw 31,387 visitors.

In the first 6 months of 2020, 11,840 visitors were registered.

These attractions are appealing to foreign tourists who are eager  to see the objects up close and learn more about the history.
