This is what Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, said in a questions and answers session requested by the opposition MP, Tritan Shehu, over the vaccination strategy.

“We will meet the WHO target, for vaccination coverage of the population at the level 70% by mid-2022. But thanks to this strategy adopted we will stick to our objective to vaccinate the target population over 16 years old by spring of next year, ” said Manastirliu.

Manastirliu informed that thanks to the efforts of the government 44% of citizens are more immune to the virus with one and two doses belonging to the target population +16 years old.

According to her, the government has made every effort to fulfill its responsibilities to provide the necessary amount of vaccines so that every citizen has the opportunity to get vaccinated.
