“Kolë Idromeno” is one of the schools that will be completely reconstructed with the financing of the government in cooperation with the municipality of Shkodra, to provide improved learning conditions for about 400 students.

The school named after the prominent Albanian painter and architect Kolë Idromeno will undergo modernization with an investment of 133 million Lekë aimed at improving all aspects of the school infrastructure, including the interior and outdoors, laboratories and sports grounds.

Speaking about improvement of the educational infrastructure with this year’s investment program, Manastirliu said that, “The Ministry of Education and Sports is committed to rehabilitate more than 40 schools and sports grounds in the 2024-2025 budget cycle, in order to have an improvement in the level of teaching, but also by engaging schools as community centers”.

Present at the meeting with the teachers of the “Kolë Idromeno” high school was the political leader of the ruling Socialist Party for Shkodra region, Minister Elisa Spiropali and Mayor of Shkodra Benet Beci, who underlined that major investments are being made in the educational infrastructure in Shkodra.

In addition to the “Kolë Idromeno” school, projects that include the reconstruction of indoor premises and sports facilities are also in the “Ndre Mjeda”, “Prishtina Martyrs”, “Preng Jakova” and “Adem Haxhija” schools in Shkodra region.

The works on 100 educational facilities are being completed throughout the country this year, thanks to the reconstruction program of the Albanian government, the Ministry of Education and Sports, the local government and international partners, while 40 new construction sites are being opened by funding of the Ministry of Education and Sports, for the transformation of the educational infrastructure from the north in the south./k.s/p.s./
