The head of government said that this kindergarten will serve as an educational and entertainment space for children.

“Good morning and with the new building of Kindergarten No. 1 in Mamurras, which has just opened its doors to children, as an education and entertainment space, built from scratch after the devastating earthquake, I wish you a good day,” Rama wrote in a post on social media.

Kindergarten no. 1, in Mamurras, where 112 children study in 6 classes, is one of the educational institutions that have benefited from the EU4Schools program, which is funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP. The program extends to 11 municipalities affected by the November 26 earthquake and is investing 65m Euros in rebuilding 58 damaged schools and kindergartens.

The kindergarten has been rebuilt according to the European standards, with facilities suitable for this age group. The new kindergarten is equipped with didactic materials, games, central heating and green spaces./p.s./

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today a view in the social media of the reconstructed school which has opened its doors for 430 students.

“Arif Sula” in Mamurras is ready; it’s now a new building, bigger and stronger for 430 students”, said Rama.

The Albanian government financed 100% the reconstruction of this high school through the Reconstruction Program implemented by the Albanian Development Fund.

“Arif Sula” high school suffered severe damage from the earthquake of November 26, 2019.

This school has 430 students and the building is designed with 3 floors above ground and a basement, where gyms and sports fields are located.

Mayor of Kurbin Majlinda Cara emphasized that the fire has caused great damages.

“After hours of efforts, the fires in the Mamurras area have been neutralized leaving behind great damage. Gratitude to everyone who contributed to this day, first of all to the Fire Brigade forces Kurbin, Lezha, Mirdita, Kruja and Kamza, troops of the Armed Forces, State Police and every resident of the area for their assistance”, said Cara .

According to her, the fire was intentional and it was an arson attack, hence she called on the relevant authorities to bring those responsible to justice.
