TIRANA, September 16 /ATA/ Social policies continue to prioritize inclusive education for all children—especially those with disabilities and from Roma and Egyptian communities—to ensure every student can learn, grow, and belong.

Deputy Minister of Health and Social Welfare Ina Majko emphasized today that following the beginning of the new school year, support for children and their families continues through dedicated services.

“School is starting and every child deserves to feel part of it. Inclusion means support for children with disabilities, for Roma and Egyptian children and for every family in need of assistance,” Majko stated.

She highlighted that assistant teachers, psychosocial services and social support are among the mechanisms aimed at ensuring the inclusion of children in the educational process.

“More than 70,000 children participated in drafting the National Agenda for Children’s Rights 2027–2030, contributing to the definition of priorities regarding their rights and well-being. Over 5,300 children with disabilities are supported in schools, with more than 2,600 assistant teachers working alongside them,” Majko emphasized.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister Majko added more than 700 Roma and Egyptian children receive support to attend school through free transportation, scholarships and other support measures.

“Psychosocial services also play a significant role, with over 800 professionals providing support to children and their families. Furthermore, 55 services dedicated to children and families have been established across 39 municipalities, creating a support network that links the family, the school and the municipality,” she said.

According to her, every child has the right to learn, grow and feel included.

TIRANA, February 17/ATA/ Socialist Party MP Pandeli Majko stated today that the opposition’s request to allow out-of-the-country vote with non-Albanian passports for Albanian nationals living and working abroad, as well as the one to grant the Regulatory Commission at the Central Election Commission the right to approve this request with a qualified majority, implies that the opposition is seeking to block the right of the citizens from Albania outside the border to vote.

“The opposition’s latest request fundamentally changes the rules of the game at this moment in the electoral process. The opposition has proposed an interesting change. The parties have agreed that the opposition’s proposals will be evaluated by the Regulatory Commission of the CEC,” Majko stated.

If it is up to the Regulatory Commission to decide on a fact that fundamentally changes the rules of the game, this will be a reason for voting of the citizens living abroad to be blocked.

“I welcome the decision of the Regulatory Commission that has also approved the ballot paper. Today, as we speak, over 100 thousand people have applied to vote from abroad in the May 11 elections. I hope that the Regulatory Commission will not be at the level of taking an act of adventure and blocking the right of over 100 thousand people who have expressed interest in voting,” Majko said. /r.e/a.f/p.s./

TIRANA, December 23/ATA/ Shkodra and Tropoja will be connected through Ndermaja Pass-Peraj road.

Socialist Party MP Pandeli Majko said that this road will be built by the Albanian Development Fund.

“In Tropoja, the Albanian Development Fund confirmed the agreement with the municipality of Tropoja, in the realization of the investment in Ndermaja Pass – Peraj road (Lekbibaj unit). This road will connect Shkodra (Theth) with Lekbibaj and Bajram Curri”, said Majko.

For years now, the National Park in the Northern Alps, with Theth and Valbona, have been ranked as the perfect choice for nature enthusiasts who want to experience unique hospitality.

The Albanian Alps lie north of the Drin River and west of the lower reaches of the Valbona River (a branch of the Drin). They include the northern part of the country and occupy about 8% of it. They have a very isolated geographical position because the roads that connect them to other regions of the country and Albanian territories beyond the border are few and in poor condition. /a.f/p.s./

TIRANA, June 16/ATA/ Minister of State for Diaspora Pandeli Majko asked today to build useful models related to remittances, as they exceed foreign investment in the country.

During a meeting held today in Tirana on the International Remittances Day, there was highlighted this contribution to the economy, the good management of remittances for the benefit of the country’s families, as well as the formalization of the channels of sending them home as the main objectives of the National Strategy of the Diaspora.

In his speech, Minister Majko praised the significance of this meeting. “What I want to emphasize is the topic of remittances, which until now has been considered as an income and only that. The beneficial patterns we are seeing in many parts of the world show that it is a new economic alphabet when it comes to remittances. Currently, for the Republic of Albania they represent the highest income that the Albanian state receives. They also exceed foreign investments or investments of other domestic natures. It is about an income that goes to the limits of 1 billion dollars”, said Majko.

He praised the fact that, “BoA with INSTAT has for several years introduced the issue of the Diaspora in the concept of annual reporting.

“The issue of remittances, the commitment to them is still in the first steps. I think we are late, but saying this is not an excuse, but an incentive to move faster in dealing with the greater income that the Albanian nation has today and which is called remittance, and I do not mean only the Albanian state and the high level of migration in Albanian territories not only in Albania, but in Montenegro, Kosovo, Presevo, North Macedonia “, said Majko.

He informed that, “Currently, remittances are used only for construction, education and health, at a time when many other countries that have been in the conditions of Albania have built models that have given impetus to the economic development of the country by turning it from recipients of remittances to the opposite ”./p.s./

TIRANA, June 9 /ATA/ Minister of State for the Diaspora Pandeli Majko said today that his vote is in favor of the dismissal of President Ilir Meta, which is as he put it, “a lot of embarrassment for him, but it is a vote that basically has relations with the truth”.

In his speech in the Parliament, Minister Majko said that, “President Ilir Meta has violated the Constitution, he has violated his oath”.

“I refused to sign it for the first time, when the dismissal of President Meta was initiated. But, now I think that President Meta is a promoter of the absence of seriousness of the Albanian state even in relation with the others, especially with the USA”, – underlined Majko.

Majko further said that, “Ilir Meta was part of us and was voted by this mass of voters. The 1998 Constitution has made it crystal clear the moment of the President’s dismissal.”

” What we discuss today and make a decision by secret ballot will be tried in the Constitutional Court. “Basically, we are producing an act that will pass through the filters of the most experienced lawyers in the Constitutional Court,” Majko underlined.

Majko said that, “Our relationship with the truth must be clear. Therefore, I signed the request with 49 signatures of MPs, so I will vote for dismissal of the President of the Republic “./ k.s /p.s./

TIRANA, June 7/ATA/ On Monday, there began the Meeting of Lawyers in the Diaspora where the presentation of the network of professionals, the engagement of professionals in the field of justice in the Diaspora and their interaction with lawyers in Albania is one of the main goals of this event.

During his speech at this event, Minister of State for Diaspora Pandeli Majko said that this meeting should be seen as a mechanism that connects both parties, lawyers abroad and those in Albania for a joint commitment.

“Today’s meeting should not be seen as a ‘let’s talk about jurisprudence’ concept, but as a mechanism that will bind the two sides to a common commitment,” Majko said during his speech.

Speaking about the importance of Albanian lawyers abroad, Minister Majko said that their word needs a more specific commitment when it comes to the right to vote, bilateral agreements that are related to the interests of Albanian communities abroad such as pension agreements.

Minister Majko called on lawyers abroad to be involved in justice bodies in Albania, such as the School of Magistrates, because as he said all the human capital that is being invested for the future of Albanians should be invested for the future of Albania. /a.a/p.s./

TIRANA, April 30 /ATA/ State Minister for Diaspora Pandeli Majko, who ran in the April 25th elections ranked the 19th on the SP list in Tirana, failed to be part of the next Assembly.

Majko has given a message on social networks, to all citizens and his supporters.

“Friends, although mathematics ranks me in the 10 candidacies voted in the region of Tirana in the elections of April 25, I will not be an MP in the Albanian Parliament”, said Majko.

“The electoral system is the one we have accepted,” said Majko.

“Thank you for voting for number 12, the Socialist Party! I’m thankful you made me who I am. I hope I gave you “everything”! Goodbye! ”, writes Majko.

Even the Chairman of the SP Tirana Ervin Bushati, who although ranked third in the list of the SP in Tirana failed to be part of the Assembly, as he received a low number of preferential votes.

In a message to the citizens and his supporters, he demanded that, “We work for the SP”.

“As a citizen of Tirana, the first chairman of the SP of Tirana, I worked hard for the objective of the Socialist Party: clean, fair and successful. “SP Tirana received a record number of votes: +19,042 more than in 2017, thanks to our joint effort in these two years together”, he said.

“As the chairman of SP Tirana, I felt that I had the responsibility for all the representatives of the Socialist Party Tirana and I made sure that our energy went for: SP 12”, Bushati emphasized.

“I thank my supporters for all the energy and citizenship shown and forgiveness, but again for my supporters, even as the first socialist of Tirana, for individual expectations: the most important and most beautiful is the great victory of the Socialist Party”, he underlined, adding that, “now we have an even bigger job ahead of us”.

In addition to Pandeli Majko, Ervin Bushati and Mimi Kodheli, there are several other names of the current SP group that will not be part of the next Assembly. /j.p/r.e/p.s./

TIRANA, April 1 /ATA/ – The Minister of State for the Diaspora Pandeli Majko blamed Thursday the main opposition Democratic Party for denying many Albanians living abroad the right to vote in the next month’s general elections in Albania.

“The Diaspora vote was not enabled for the April 25 elections and this was because of the delays caused by Democratic Party in putting forward its proposals,” the State Minister for the Diaspora told a TV program.

According to Majko, the mistake was made ten years ago when the production of biometric ID cards and passports started in the country and when Albanians living abroad declared their parent’s address in Albania as their own residence address.

Majko commented on a statement by the opposition leader Lulzim Basha, who blamed the government for cheating regarding the migrants’ vote in the legislative elections.

“Earlier today, the DP leader said that the majority has cheated. If I were in opposition, I would have accused the government of being coward that is seeking to enter Europe without minimally granting the Albanians living abroad to vote in the elections,” Majko said.

TIRANA, March 19/ATA/ Minister of State for Diaspora Pandeli Majko stated today that, “Through posting the photo of the Republic of Kosovo with the Serbian flag, the President of Serbia Vucic shows that he likes irreconcilable approach”.

Majko said that, “This is a problem of the Serbian state and of the seriousness approach chosen in Belgrade”.

“The Republic of Serbia signed a statement in the Oval Office of the White House to respect the regional peace process. The diplomacy of photos on instagram devalues the seriousness of the Serbian state in international relations”, said Majko.

Majko stressed that, “The sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo is guaranteed not by Instagram, but by NATO”.

“This is enough reason for the Serbian president to offer his citizens a future they can afford. The role of Gavrilo Princip in the time of European integration is not well understood. Serbia must not capitulate in the face of its impossibilities! Not even on instagram “, said Majko. /m.m/p.s./
