TIRANA, July 30/ATA/- The National Agency for Information Society (AKSHI) reported that from 14:00 to 23:59 hrs today it will carry out a maintenance operation of the systems and official websites of public institutions.

In the press release, AKSHI clarified that this intervention in the wake of dealing with the consequences of the cyber attack, will serve to further improve the provision of online public services.

AKSHI asked for everyone’s good understanding if during today you may encounter difficulties in accessing any public site.

At the joint press conference yesterday together with Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, General Director of the AKSHI Mirlinda Karçanaj said that over 98% of online services are already functional. E-Albania was restored in operation for 1118 out of 1225 electronic services only 4 days after the cyber attack, in a record time compared to other countries.

Karçanaj said that after 14 days of night and day work, the AKSHI team, local company experts, our partners inside and outside the country, it finally became possible even for the public administration to return to normality and work processes step by step.

She emphasized that AKSHI’s response to this cyber battle has been on two main fronts: the recovery of all critical government systems and infrastructures and, in parallel, the isolation of malicious activity./p.s./

TIRANA, December 10 /ATA/ Minister of Infrastructure Belinda Balluku inspected this evening the roads in the tourist resort of Dardha, in Korça.

Balluku said that, “We are in Dardhë because it snows. We have talked to all the mayors in the county and the performance of maintenance contracts has been very good during this period. Let’s call this a test period for the beginning of the process while the weather will get worse. We keep 3650 km of roads under maintenance and we have 41 contracts “.

“Winter maintenance contracts start every year in November and end on March 15, but during this year we have started earlier. On October 15, in Korça region, we started the maintenance, despite the fact that the contracts start in November. Certainly, the two most affected areas in Korça are the two tourist spots, Voskopoja and Dardha, in which although there is no snow in the lower parts, these areas are under maintenance due to continuous snow “, said Balluku.

Balluku added that the maintenance we do is important and is constant and during this year we have not had any blocked roads. The emergency team of Albanian Road Authority is functioning normally and we are in constant contact./a.a/r.e/p.s./

TIRANA, August 19 /ATA/ Borshi is one of the most beautiful tourist areas of the Albanian Riviera, with olive groves that extend close to the sea and with an impressive panorama.

This area is not only distinguished for coastal tourism, but also historical and cultural. At the top of the village of Borsh is located the Castle of Borsh or as it is known in history: the castle of Sopot, from where you can see the beauty of the landscape from above.

Finally, Borsh Castle has been subject to cleaning and other maintenance works by the workers of the Regional Directorate of Cultural Heritage Vlora.

Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti emphasized today that, “The employees of the Regional Directorate of Cultural Heritage Vlora take care of every monument, wherever they are located”.

“It was Borsh Castle’s turn to undergo cleaning and other maintenance work,” she said.

Borsh Castle is located 500 m above sea level and dates back to the IV-III century BC. Sopot Hill, on which the castle rises, is located north of the village of Borsh and west of Fterra. On the west side, the mountain forms some natural terraces, where you can see a series of remnants of medieval buildings.

Borshi is a wonderful tourist package that combines nature, beach, history and legend. Borshi is only 17 km away from Himara and has the longest coastline on the Ionian. /j.p/p.s./

TIRANA, May 7/ATA/ The castle of Gjirokastra is the most favorite monument visited by local and foreign tourist groups during their guided trips to the stone city.

In recent days, maintenance workers in Gjirokastra have begun work to clear this monument of vegetation for the new tourist season.

The Regional Directory of Culture Heritage Gjirokastra stated that, “The maintenance of the castle is difficult due to its size and very high walls. But despite this, the Directory staff proceeds all the time with its cleaning “.

During the last weekend, the city of Gjirokastra was visited by a large number of local visitors, while it is expected that this tourist season, with the mass vaccination against COVID-19, will host more domestic and foreign tourists than last year.

Gjirokastra Castle is first mentioned as a city and Castle in 1336. However, various historians think that the existence of the Stone Castle is earlier. The culmination of its history this castle had in the period of Ali Pasha Tepelena who realized a series of new constructions or other interventions, giving Gjirokastra Castle the architectural and construction physiognomy that it has today. /k.s/j.p/r.e/p.s./
