Interior Minister Albana Koçiu had urged his removal following the incident.
At a meeting with Tirana’s MPs and government ministers, Rama said that some people took advantage of the incident by downplaying it and treating it like it wasn’t a big deal.

Rama said that not supporting such actions as a firm standard, and instead making jokes, harms democratic values.
In his remarks, PM also addressed local elections, by-election for Tirana municipality in particular.

Rama said patronage workers are ready to respond to recent criticism through the ballot box, especially in Tirana and other municipalities. He expressed confidence in winning upcoming elections, saying their success comes down to hard work and commitment.
