The vessel, measuring 19.8 metres in width, was built in 2026 by German shipbuilder Lürssen and is part of a new generation of superyachts, the Durres Port Authority said on Tuesday.

With its size, MY Deep Blue is among the largest yachts to have visited Albania’s coastline. Its arrival adds to a growing number of luxury vessels calling at Albanian ports during the tourist season.

The Durres Port Authority said visits by large yachts pointed to increasing interest in Durres as a destination for high-end cruise tourism in the Adriatic.

The development of the luxury-yacht segment offers Albania an opportunity to attract high-spending visitors and strengthen the role of its ports on Adriatic tourism routes, the authority said.
