Addressing a meeting with local residents in Lushnje, PM Rama focused on the overhaul of the country’s justice system and its promising results.

“For the justice to do and deliver justice by cracking down on those powerful and not on those powerless has never happened before in the history of this country. I know there are a lot of things still not working with the new justice system and there are many things we would have wished to take place differently, but one should not forget that what has happened today has never happened before,” he said.

He said that time is now high to look forward to the future.

“This could be insufficient for us, but it can be sufficient for us to see Albania of our future optimistically. We can’t deliver on what others failed to do in 500 years, yet we can do a lot more for our children not to pay the cost of the evil in power, as many young boys and girls are now paying the cost of delayed reforms that were not launched on time. We embarked on this path when half of the population didn’t pay the electricity bills, but used to steal electricity from the other half. But we have come a long way. We should look towards the future and run towards the future,” he said.
