“They defied every danger, demonstrating unwavering will to protect Albanian lands and freedom against anti-national and occupying forces,” said Begaj.
Begaj stated, “Albania has been built and defended by such people, through acts and values of great significance. Albanians will forever remember them with deep respect.”
The purpose of holding the Lushnjë Congress was to protect the territorial integrity of Albania, restore the Albanian state, and secure its independence.
“The Lushnjë Congress dispelled, in the eyes of the great powers, the prejudice and stigma about the incapacity of Albanians to unite, make national decisions, build a state, and establish governing institutions. It was believed that they did not deserve their own independent state. The Lushnjë Congress ultimately defeated this challenge,” said Spiropali.

The Speaker of Parliament also stressed that the Congress implemented the decisions of the National Assembly of Vlora and the Assembly of Durrës, and played a key role in establishing the representative institutions of the state.
