TIRANA, April 7 /ATA/ – Work is in full swing on the extension of the “Lungomare 4” seafront promenade in Vlora’s Old Beach area, , a project seen as a key investment in the coastal city’s tourism sector and urban infrastructure.

Minister of State for Local Government Ervin Demo said the development is aimed at improving access, mobility and safety in one of Vlora’s most promising tourist zones.

“Work is progressing on the extension of the ‘Lungomare 4’ promenade, an infrastructure investment that will enhance access, mobility and urban quality in one of the city’s highest-potential tourism areas,” Demo said in a post on social media on Monday.

He added that the project will improve pedestrian safety and accessibility, while better linking the area with Vlora’s wider infrastructure network. It is also expected to strengthen the city’s appeal to visitors and support regional economic growth.

The “Lungomare 4” extension forms part of a broader strategy to upgrade public spaces, expand access and promote coastal tourism, creating a safer and more attractive environment for residents and visitors alike.
