“The works for the road segment Porto Romano – Durrës, lot 3, have been completed. This segment facilitates the movement of vehicles towards the Energy Park, the industrial port of Porto Romano and other economic areas”, concludes Rama.

Lot 3 of the Porto Romano-Durrës construction site is a road that connects the Porto Romano area with the Tirana-Durrës segment, at the exit of Shkozet, avoiding traffic within the city of Durrës.
Porto-Romano will become Albania’s largest seaport, providing a world-class cargo facility for the region’s businesses and extending economic benefits throughout Southeast Europe.
The new port in Durres in Porto-Romano, integrated with the Durres-Pristina railway project, the dry port in Pristina and the dry port in Struga, in addition to increasing cooperation between countries, is expected to turn Durres into one of the strategic gateways of the economy of the Mediterranean.
